The Science of Optimism
This talk presents information on the science behind optimism. How can you determine (i.e., hear) a pessimistic viewpoint and what questions can you ask to assist clients in considering an alternative viewpoint?
Dr. Mary Howerton will describe her research on the factors that relate to optimism and depression and provide participants with practical ways to increase their own psychological well-being and facilitate this learning with their clients.
