Mindfulness Paying Attention with Intention and Meditation

Mindfulness -- Participants will learn the four keys of Mindfulness, practice Mindfulness Meditation, create an affirmation, and determine their most important values, to live a meaningful life. Mindfulness is a great tool to solidify Coaching Presence (competency 4), create empathy, and improve equanimity. The coach will become more sensitive to the needs of the client, and at the same time keep the emotional balance to be able to assist the client in a positive and detached way.

Mindfulness has also been shown to build resilience, enhance mental and emotional balance, and help people deal more effectively with stress. Research has shown that 8 weeks of daily Mindfulness Practice can create new connections in the brain (Neuroplasticity), increasing the thickness of the brain prefrontal cortex, center of empathy, motivation and enthusiasm. On the other hand, the amygdalae, which is the center of stress and anxiety, shrinks after 8 weeks of Mindfulness meditation. 

 

Learning Objectives: 

1. Mindfulness will enhance active listening skills (competency 5), so the coach can explore the client's use of language, and expression of emotion. 
2. Mindfulness will help the coach focus on the present moment, and use heart-centered listening, so the client can feel well heard, and cared for. 
3. Mindfulness will create clarity and focus, by cutting down on the mind chatter, so the coach can become more present, and alert, and able to encourage the client to take new actions and keep moving towards the desired outcomes.

Meet Dr. Asaad Mounzer

Dr. Asaad Mounzer is a motivational speaker, an author, and a talented coach. He is a semi-retired Urologist, spending his free time teaching Mindfulness, to help people build resilience, avoid burnout and deal better with stress. He is a Certified MLP Mindfulness teacher, and a Certified Life Coach, and is a member of ICF. He holds a Master's degree in Spiritual Psychology with emphasis on Consciousness, Health and Healing, and uses his compassion and caring to support his clients, to reach their potential in their personal and professional development.
