Enhancing Coaching Presence and Active Listening with Mindfulness

"Mindfulness is consciously attending to the present moment, with wisdom and clarity, and initiating actions in alignment with our values."

Mindfulness is excellent for improving one's presence and creating mental and emotional balance. Coaches who practice mindfulness are more present and better able to listen actively with equanimity and an open heart. They can act with objectivity as nonjudgmental witnesses, exercising compassion and empathy while keeping focused attention on the progress of their client and the expression of their emotions.

Learning Objectives:

1. Enhance your coaching presence by practicing the relaxation response and training your attention and focus. 

2. Listen actively with an open heart to improve mental and emotional balance. 

3. Manage your emotions with equanimity and become more aware of the importance of creating a space and detaching from emotions. 

4. Practice responding proactively instead of reacting to a challenging situation.

Meet your Presenter: Assaad Mounzer, M.D., MA, PCC   

Dr AssaasMounzerMy desire to help others see their own value and self-worth, and heal themselves through self-care, has pushed me to get certified as a Physician coach and Mindfulness teacher. I am thrilled to share my passion and bring feelings of joy into your life through Mindful Coaching.

Dr. Mounzer is a Board-Certified Urologic Surgeon, a Professional Certified Coach and a member of the International Coaching Federation (ICF) since 2017. He holds a Master's Degree in Spiritual Psychology with an emphasis on Consciousness, Health, and Healing. 

An inspirational speaker, author, mentor, and Certified Mindfulness Teacher, Dr Mounzer uses his compassionate listening skills, caring attitude, and professional coaching techniques to support people in finding their purpose in life and achieving their personal and professional goals. Part of his mission is to assist professionals experiencing the negative effects of stress, helping them get in touch with the wisdom within themselves, regain their enthusiasm and inner peace, build resilience to prevent burnout and live a meaningful life in alignment with their values and purpose.
