Regardless of how much experience we have as coaches, it's always good to take time to assees how consistently and how well we are demonstrating the ICF Core Competencies. Join us via Zoom for a facilitated discussion of Chapters 1-5 of the book The HeART of Laser-Focused Coaching by Marion Franklin, MS, MCC. 

The goals of our discussion are to:

• Expand our understanding of the core competencies
• Explore an approach to ensure we're consistently demonstrating those competencies
• Shine the light on something our client cannot see for themselves
• Be OK with "Not Knowing" 
• Listen with a new intent
• Create a safe and trusting space 
• Affirm versus acknowledge 
• Set the agreement
• Explore the Art of the question

Meet facilitator Harvey Smith

Harvey Smith's clients benefit professionally and personally from his certifications in leadership and career development, and in behavioral communication tools, such as the DISC and Values assessments. Harvey combines skillful coching, extensive business expertise and the powerful insights gained from these tools to enable his clients to increase their self-awareness, leverage their strengths, create more positive relationships, and experience a greater sense of well-being and control over their career experiences. 

Harvey is a past president, active member, and consistent supporter of the ICF Charlotte Area Chapter.
