Western Carolinas Monthly: A closer look at ICF Ethics and Compliance

We want to bring awareness to the ICF Ethics functions and resources to all stakeholders. We will specifically speak to our complaint processes (including those areas where coaches are most often found in breach of the Code), our Code of Ethics and the review happening this year, ethics resources, and give participants an opportunity to participate in conversations around a case study to exercise those ethical muscles.

Continuing Coach Education Units (CCEUs) available for this program: .25 Core Competencies and 1.25 Resource Development Credits. 

Meet Your Presenters: 

Kristin Kelly
Kristin Kelly has served the International Coaching Federation (ICF) since 2007 in numerous capacities (including marketing, membership, and leadership development) before her current position as the Director of Ethics, Compliance, and Culture. In her role, she serves as liaison to the ICF's Independent Review Board (IRB), Ethics Advocacy Team, and Code Review Team; she oversees brand compliance across the ICF Ecosystem; and works with stakeholders across the ICF around ethics, policy, and compliance initiatives. In addition, she spearheads various cultural initiatives for ICF Staff and oversees ICF's New Employee Onboarding Program. Kristin lives in Lexington, Kentucky with her husband, two young children, and one wild Rhodesian Ridgeback-Boxer mix named Sprinkles.

Elissa Johns
Elissa Johns is the Assistant Director of Ethics and Compliance for ICF. She has been with ICF for 4 years where she's worked in member services, Coaching Education, and now in the Ethics department. She lives in Lexington KY, and is married with two teenage daughters. In her free time, you will find her reading, shopping, running, and spending time with her friends and family.
