Western Carolinas Monthly Program: Spiritual Dimensions of Quality Coaching

When: 5/7/2021 11:30 AM - 1:00 PM
How does spirit show up in your life and how does it inform your coaching? What would change for you and your clients if the spiritual dimension were more richly present?

This virtual online presentation and discussion addresses the spiritual dimensions and how they align with and enrich our professional coaching experience. You will be introduced to twelve spiritual dimensions that are foundational to quality coaching. You will be offered the opportunity to reflect on which ones serve your coaching most powerfully and learn how to incorporate them in partnering with your clients.

This event will demonstrate how these spiritual dimensions enrich the ICF competencies.

Please bring an item that relates to your spiritual dimension to share with other participants.

Spirituality is a connection to consciousness; a feeling or sense or belief that there is something greater than myself, something more to being human than sensory experience, and that the greater whole of which we are part is cosmic or divine in nature. ... An opening of the heart is an essential aspect of true spirituality. Locus of consciousness, organs of perception. Inner resources to bring to coaching and listen for in the client
Universal elements that apply to the whole.

The objectives of our discussion are to: connect, illustrate and experience the value of the spiritual dimension in our coaching. We will introduce twelve spiritual dimensions of coaching and facilitate a discussion of how they support and enrich the coaching competencies.

Two exercises designed to assist class participants with the challenges and opportunities of the spiritual dimension.
-    They will identify an area of personal growth and brainstorm ways to cultivate that area.
-    How to cultivate and support that area in their clients.

*Please bring an item that relates to your spiritual dimension to share with other participants. It's for sharing in break out groups. Examples: a favorite Crystal, a special book, saying, poem, or photo, something that connects you more deeply to your spiritual self.
