November Coaching Conversations

When: 11/27/2018 4:30 PM - 5:45 PM
Where:
Cantina 1511, 4271-B Park Road, Charlotte NC 28209

The 2017 member survey suggested a need for more frequent, informal gathering of coaches to get together outside of the regular monthly meetings.  The vision of "Coaching Conversations" is to afford coaches both new and experienced, an additional opportunity to share best coaching practices, experiences and challenges so as to develop and grow professionally in a relaxed environment.  Each session will be facilitated by an experienced coach from our chapter and will focus on a specific skill or competency that relates to the "art" and process of coaching.  There will be group conversations and experiential exercises.  This programming is free to Chapter members and affiliates whom can bring quests that are interested in exploring the coaching profession.

Topic:  Courage in Coaching Relationships

Courage takes many forms in people's lives and in coaching client engagements. When it's present it can open doors to opportunities and possibilities.  Its absence can short list options, growth and creativity. It can help to move us toward our goals, or its absence can stand in the way of achieving goals. Courage also plays a crucial role in our coaching interactions with clients.

In this Coaching Conversation, we'll explore courage through these and other questions:

  • What is courage?
  • How does courage impact our coaching relationship?
  • What is the difference between courage and confidence?
  • How do we help our clients discover their courage?
  • What are some powerful coaching courage questions?
  • What happens when we struggle to find courage?
  • How can courage be cultivated?
