From Coach to Go-To: How to Be Recognized as a Thought Leader

Here are lots of coaches your potential clients can choose from. What sets you apart from the rest? What if you were the go-to pro who was well-known in your area of expertise? It might be time to position yourself as a thought leader.

Thought leadership is about taking your expertise to the next level through original content, unique contributions, and your own frameworks.

In this interactive 90-minute session, you'll learn how to get known as a thought leader and monetize your intellectual property without straying from your coaching values. Learn how positioning yourself as a thought leader can lead to great impact for your clients and income for your business.

We'll introduce Matt Church's Think Sell Deliver model and apply it to your practice: clarifying your point of view (Think), shaping offers clients want (Sell), and choosing delivery methods that scale your impact (Deliver). You'll explore six practical modes to package and deliver your IP--for example, keynotes, trainings, workshops, coaching programs, digital offerings, and licensing/partnerships--and decide which fit your goals, audience, and capacity.

Through guided prompts and peer feedback, you'll sketch a simple offer you could bring to market in 2026, including the problem it solves, outcomes, and format, to get noticed by the right clients.

Join Dr. Amy Climer and learn how to develop your thought leadership and become the "go-to voice" for your clients.

Learning Objectives:
  • Explain a thought leadership model and apply it to your own positioning, offers, and delivery choices.
  • Identify how to develop your unique thought leadership.
  • Evaluate six modes for selling/delivering your IP and select 12 that align with your market, capacity, and revenue goals.
  • Draft a new offering outline (problem, promise, audience, format) ready for validation and next steps.
