Every year the ICF Charlotte and Raleigh Chapters partner with Leadership North Carolina (LNC) to provide pro-bono leadership coaching to the LNC graduates.

The mission of the LNC is to inform, develop, and engage committed leaders by broadening their understanding of and involvement in issues and opportunities facing our state. The objectives of the ICF Charlotte and ICF Raleigh chapter partnership with LNC is to support LNC's mission and demonstrate the significance of professional coaching while facilitating growth opportunities for ICF chapter members.

As ICF Charlotte members, you have the opportunity to coach and form connections with a diverse group of individuals across the state representing multiple private and public sectors. By volunteering to coach the graduates of the LNC, you will build local awareness of the power of coaching with emerging and existing leaders in North Carolina. In essence, you will be supporting the ICF mission of expanding a coaching culture within our communities.

Program highlights:
  • Coaches and coachees are paired by the end of May.
  • The coaching agreement covers one half-hour discovery session to take place within one month after the match and three hours of coaching to occur between June 1 and September 15.
  • ICF Charlotte and Raleigh chapters will facilitate signup, coaching agreement, and closeout processes for coach and client.
  • You are responsible for designing and executing a coaching plan with your client and participating in the program closeout process. ICF Charlotte and Raleigh chapters will host two optional supervision opportunities for coaches partway through the coaching period, usually in early July.
  • You do not need to be an executive coach but must be a member of ICF Charlotte or Raleigh and ICF-certified at the ACC level or above to participate.

ICF Charlotte Chapter Members Only: Liability Insurance proof with limits of $1M per claim and $1M in aggregate is required to be provided to participate in this pro-bono opportunity.
