In this session you will learn about the "Sage" and "Saboteur"concepts researched in the book "Positive Intelligence" and the techniques applicable to help our coaching clients identify and shift from the negative, "Saboteur" mindset to the positive "Sage"mindset. This highly interactive session will include an individual "Saboteur Assessment as well as group work to help identify the impacts of the Saboteurs in our life.

John Locke is the VP of Executive Coaching Coach for Forvis, a top 10 Accounting Firm. Forvis
was created in June 2022, resulting from a merger between BKD and DHG. John created the
Executive Coaching practice at DHG in 2015 and is now part of a 3-person, Catalyst Coaching
Practice, serving leaders throughout Forvis' nationwide footprint.
John holds a BBA from Ohio University and an MBA from Western Carolina University and co-
founded the Western Carolinas (WCC) ICF Sub-Chapter. He is a ICF PCC, Past Board Member of
ICF Charlotte, holds the WBECS, "Conversational Intelligence" Coaching Certification and is a
credentialed Health and Wellness Coach (NBHWC).
John is married to his/wife Gini for 41 years and has one daughter Lauren, who lives in
Wellington, New Zealand...and they have an Aussie Doodle named "Buddy."
John has spent over a year in coaches training with Positive Intelligence and is in the process of
piloting a firm-wide Mental Fitness initiative within FORVIS.
