Guidance about Joining
Membership in the local ICF Charlotte Area Charter Chapter provides opportunities to connect with a diverse community of coaches, network, develop professionally, and commit to the ethics and standards of ICF Global. We also are proud to have a subchapter, Western Carolina Coaches, whose members are located near Asheville, NC.
To be a considered a Member of the Charlotte Area Charter Chapter, you must first be a member of ICF Global. Review the Global ICF Membership Eligibility Requirements. Membership at does NOT require you be ICF credentialed.

ICF-CACC Member
Choose this membership option if you are currently a member of ICF Global. ICF Charlotte Members have all the benefits of the Affiliate membership plus discounts on special events, a listing in the coach directory, and vote in chapter elections. They are also eligible to serve on the board, lead a committee or special event, and represent the chapter at community events.

ICF-CACC Member Benefits
- Continuing Coach Education Units (CCEUs): The majority of our programs offer CCEUs which are required to renew your Global ICF certification every three years.
- Marketing Opportunities: A basic Member profile is included in the Coach Directory and the "Find a Coach" service provided on our chapter website which allows the general public to search for a certified credentialed coach.
- Leadership Skills Development: Share and develop your leadership skills and other talents by serving as a board member or committee chairperson or lead a special event. Board member role descriptions are available in members-only area.
- Join a Pro Bono Coaching initiative and positively impact our community. Service is one of ICF-CACC's core values while also helping coaches meet required session hours. Pro Bono coaching also promotes the value of the coaching profession and benefits the coaches who volunteer their time.
- Chapter Guidance: Help shape the organization by voting in board elections and on special topics such as By-laws updates.
